In defense of this observation pertaining to "class" or "racial" ideologies - I should state that I am not personally from wealth, nor have I ever employed racism in my daily (especially professional and public) decision making. Further it is that I cite my own sibling as example of that lack of depth as well - even more so many of their off spring, given that there is a pronounced difference in our back grounds due to travels and upbringing.

Even more peculiar is the existence of differences within those areas as all do not exhibit such "lack (though we all surely must in our modern day and age to one degree or another)."

Again, I have to stress that this isn't pertaining to "stupid," or "dumb," or "smart" and such - only a noticeable element or lack there of. In that it is then that as a species we most certainly have retarded our developmental progress within the 'standard" potentials (what ever they truly may be) - doing so as much through focus on "modern developments" as we are in "propagation" as opposed to actual "procreation."

It would seem that within our automated "Utopia," we are forgetting to maintain and perpetuate "humanity." Promoting the "better human/animal" so to speak as opposed to progressing the "human being."

Within that, as a species we are then missing out on much of the very substance such a brilliant design and concept(s) seem set forward to fill our lives with - at least to provide the opportunity for such existence.

Choice and reasonable consideration has been replaced in some considerable degree with with topical want. Consequently, even "pleasure" has become more shallow and even fleeting in many instances - causing the "want" of something more without ever having fully experienced that which was possible to imbibe of beyond that "topical offering" and instant pacifying of "want."

In that cycle is again the predominant progression of choking ourselves off as I have addressed elsewhere. ~

With that all having been considered, I feel I must once more state that the more interesting part of this to me is the fact that "propagation" isn't necessarily "procreation" in a very real sense.

If I were a mad scientist I would probably be cackling with some disturbing form of joy at such realizations and "mad scientist" potentials within that leeway of/within humanity.

I balk at the consideration of our fate as a species though - within the idea of such lack maintaining a constant growth pattern - Is it possible to entirely exist within a total void of existence?

If it were that such progressed to such extremes, what would become of the human race? Especially with that and the ever growing confinement of "propagation" and capacity.

I must admit that it is a rather thrilling realization pertaining to the "mandatory" presence of cognative/capacity/essence/substance not being so, but to what extreme is it still conducive for existence to fall away from it as seems to be the current direction?

How far will be "too far removed" within our convenient, automatic society?

In further consideration, another aspect is the concentration of such as opposed to the variation and fluidity within the individual consideration of those without that "lack" in such extremes. That is to ask - what of social and human progress if it were that all were of that topical depth and its amplified consistency? Removing the individual element in the various depths of perception there-in - while comparing the two variations of "sine wave" in topical automation and cumulatively considering the various "other" individual perspectives from "less saturated" areas?

Is it then better to propagate the species or procreate?

Personally I would choose procreation.

11/09/2006 - As a note here, it is that while such results seem from the successes of the implemented social structure(s), and even in considering that the structure itself utilizes such to some degree.... it is further a consideration pertaining to the purposeful amplification of these types of "lack." What of the more detrimental aspects in this promoted direction being - more resulting in most instances as something even out of the scope which could be considered progressive corruptions? A sort of obstinance which is imparted more than developed based upon a grotesque lack of insight and conditioning... even in the degree of that topical automation being perceived as all, then further implemented as such.
